Chair, Disrupting Africa
Dr. Chibundu Onuzo is a Teaching Fellow at SOAS, University of London and a published author. She was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2018.
Chibundu Onuzo started writing novels and short stories at the age of ten and less than a decade later became the youngest woman ever signed by Faber. Her debut novel, The Spider King’s Daughter (2012), was longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize and the Etisalat Prize, shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize and the Commonwealth Book Prize, and won a Betty Trask Award. Her most recent novel, Welcome to Lagos, was published in 2017 and has been reprinted three times.
Dr. Onuzo will be chairing the Disrupting Africa panel at the 2019 ADF.
