Stephanie Wanga is an MA African Studies student at SOAS, University of London with a background in law.

Her academic work focuses on making space for the arts in policy discourse. She has worked for various organisations, including the renowned Ogilvy Public Relations, GoDown Arts Centre and the Women on Boards Network, Kenya. Defining herself as a person of multiple compulsions, she is building a career in academia and creative writing, with a keen eye for policy discourse in Africa. She has been longlisted for awards such as the the Writivism Short Story Prize and Black Letter Media Short Story Prize, and her creative writing has appeared on Brittle Paper and the Writivism Anthology ‘Transcending the Flame’ (2018).
