Daniella is currently in her penultimate year pursuing a degree in BSc Development Economics. Growing up in Nigeria, she has always been concerned with the issue of underdevelopment in the African context in particular. She has followed the trends in the African narrative over the last decade, from ‘Hopeless Africa’ to ‘Africa Rising’, which has fuelled her interest in studying and researching the structural impediments to Africa’s growth at SOAS. She decided to join SOAS’s African Development Forum because it addresses these issues with an innovative and refreshing mind-set.
